Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) has experienced multiple falls. AV is serviced planned to be a one person stand by assist for transfers and AV has the ability to use his/her call light but has short term memory loss and often forgets to call for help. AV has waited for 34-45 minutes for his/her call light to be answered. The facility standard is to answer a call light in less than ten minutes. The facility failed to answer AV's call light timely, resulting in AV self transferring and falling, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP20-00735 $250.00 fine assessed
