Findings: The facility failed to ensure supervision and staff training regarding the proper use and operation of the sit to stand while using it to move residents. On or about August 5, 2020, AV was being transferred by facility staff when he/she received a bruise to his/her elbow. This is not the first injury caused by the sit to stand due to staff not having full training and understanding of how to use the sit to stand. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP20-01070 $375.00 fine assessed
