Findings: On or about August 7, 2020, Alleged Victim (AV) was given another resident's medication in error which caused AV to have unstable vital signs and AV needed medication because AV was at risk of dying. The error in medication administration caused AV's blood pressure and blood oxygen level to drop to a dangerous level. The facility's failure to provide a safe medication administration system for AV is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP21-01202 $450.00 fine assessed
