Findings: On or about August 4, 2020, AV suffered from a fall resulting in skin tears and pain in his/her hips. At the time of the fall the facility nurse was out ill and did not treat AV. On or about August 6, 2020, the backup nurse made a note that AV had two skin tears that were cleaned and treated. Documentation indicates that AV complained of pain more than once a day for several days after the fall and required over the counter pain reliever. AV complained of not being able to move his/her leg. AV requested more than once to go to the hospital. On or about August 10, 2020, AV had a previously scheduled appointment with his/her medical provider at which time his/her provider observed that AV was non weight bearing. AV's provider diagnosed AV with a fractured hip that required surgical repair and on-going treatment. The facility failed to respond to AV's change of condition, resulting in AV having an untreated fracture for six days, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
