Findings: On or about August 20, 2020, Alleged Victim (AV) and Witness 1 (W1) were found by facility staff engaging in sexual activities. An investigation determined that the facility failed to follow AV's care plan dated July 29, 2020 in which it was documented that AV needs protection and supervision because he/she makes unsafe and inappropriate decisions. The facility failed to adequately care plan for AV's care needs and/or provide training for staff to help prevent AV from engaging in sexual activities. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-01855 $1500.00 fine assessed
