Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his or her safety. On or about September 13,2020, AV eloped from a hotel and was found by Law enforcement. The facility was staying in a hotel, and there were volunteers stationed at the exits. It is believed the volunteer turned h/h back to help another resident when AV left the hotel property out an exit door. AV’s service plan has AV noted for wandering. The facility failed to provide a safe environment, and an appropriate safety plan around Av’s wandering behaviors, which is a violation of resident’s rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
