Findings: The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system for Alleged Victim (AV). An investigation determined that facility ran out of AV's pain medication in September 2020 resulting in AV's medication not being administered as prescribed. The facility's failure to have AV's medication available for administration caused AV to suffer severe pain which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-01876 $250.00 fine assessed
