Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. AV has a history of aggressive behaviors with staff and other residents. AV receives Home Health Serves from a Mental health Registered Nurse. The facility was advised by the Home Health Nurse verbally and in writing on multiple occasions to arrange for non-emergency transportation for AV the Emergency Department for a Psychiatric hold and in-patient treatment. The facility failed to transport AV, which placed AV at risk for harm. The facility’s failure to obtain appropriate consultation is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03234 $1000.00 fine assessed
