Findings: On or about August 13, 2020, the Alleged Victim (AV) was found on the floor by staff after a fall, sustaining a skin tear to his/her elbow and then vomited after staff tried to administer his/her medications. AV was sent to the hospital and was found to be severely dehydrated. Prior to the fall, AV had been experiencing medical concerns and needed increased monitoring by staff, including encouraging food and liquid intake. The facilities failure to ensure proper hydration and a safe environment is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP21-01098 $250.00 fine assessed
