Findings: On or about October 28, 2020, Alleged Victim (AV) moved into the facility. It is the facility's responsibility to have prescribed medications available to a new residents when the medication are due to be administered. AV's medications were not available until the evening on October 29, 2020. AV was not administered approximately twenty-one (21) doses of ten (10) medications, including nine (9) scheduled doses of pain medication. AV complained of pain and requested prescribed pain medication. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-01949 $1013.00 fine assessed
