Findings: On or about November 16, 2020, Alleged Victim (AV) and Witness 1 (W1) had a resident-to-resident altercation when AV entered W1's room and got on top of W1 who was in his/her bed. An investigation determined that W1 responded to AV by holding AV down, biting his/her arm causing AV's arm and finger to need first aid treatment due to AV's arm and finger bleeding. The facility failed to provide a safe environment for AV by failing to ensure his/her safety which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03101 $375.00 fine assessed
