Findings: The facility failed to provide the Alleged Victim (AV) with oral hygiene, resulting in unnecessary pain. AV had a dental appointment where it was discovered that AV had not been having assistance with brushing his/her teeth resulting in tooth decay and plaque build up, needing extraction. It was determined extraction was not practical, and a special routine was determined more practical. The facility's failures are a violation of resident rights, considered neglect of care and constitute abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-02130 $250.00 fine assessed
