Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medications. On or about November 14, 2021, the facility reported that five (5) of AV’s Lorazepam tables and 30ml of Morphine were unaccounted for. There are no available destruction or narcotic logs indicating correct disposal of AV’s medications. The facility does not have a system to audit narcotic books before November 14, 2021. The facility failed to provide a system that prevents theft or misuse of medication, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
