Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medications. On or about November 14, 2020, the facility reported that 156 tabs of AV’s Oxycodone were unaccounted for. The facility did not have a system to audit narcotic books prior to November 14, 2020. Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) was the staff member who had administered AV’s narcotic medications. AP2 failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00652 $1500.00 fine assessed
