Findings: Witness 1 (W1) had a known history of being territorial of his/her hallway area. On or about January 4, 2021, Alleged Victim (AV) was sitting in a chair in W1's hallway. W1 took a newspaper that AV had and hit AV in the face. AV was holding his/her cheek afterward and at some point, mentioned she/he was a little sore. The facility failed to care plan and implement appropriate interventions based on W1's known history of aggression, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-02005 $375.00 fine assessed
