Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relied on the facility to administer his/her medications. On or about March 20, 2020, AV’s family requested pain medication for AV, but staff failed to pop the medication and administer the pain medication to AV. The medication error was narrated in the Observation Documents three (3) days later. AV reported his/her knees hurt horribly on March 21, 2020 at 9:45 am and 3:30 pm. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-02666 $1750.00 fine assessed
