Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medications. In the month of February 2021, there have been unconsumed pills/medications found in AV’s room on multiple occasions. The issue of unconsumed pills had been brought up to the facilities’ attention on multiple occasions. Staff are not assuring AV is swallowing or consuming his/her pills/medications prior to leaving AV’s room. The facility failed to property plan care around AV’s behavior of not consuming his/her pills/medication and failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP21-01660 $500.00 fine assessed
