Findings: Witness 1 (W1) had a known history of wandering and aggressive behaviors. Alleged Victim (AV) had a known history of not liking other residents in his/her room. On or about March 8, 2021, W1 wandered into AV’s room, AV yelled at W1 to get out of his/her room. W1 then went over to AV and begun to punch him/her in the face. AV sustained bruises and skin tear. The facility failed to properly plan care around W1’s and AV’s known behaviors, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-02688 $500.00 fine assessed
