Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to manage his/her medications. AV is prescribed an as needed pain medication that he/she consistently takes daily, anywhere from one to five times daily. On or about January 1st through January 3, 2021, AV did not receive his/her as needed pain medication due to the facility being out resulting in increased pain for AV. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP21-01714 $500.00 fine assessed
