Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. On or about March 12, 2021 AP2 set down a medication cup containing another residents medication on AV’s bedside table. AP2 administered AV’s medication and left the room. AP2 returned to AV’s room and discovered AV had taken the other resident’s medication. AV was sent to the hospital for monitoring. AP2’s actions are a violation of resident rights, are considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The facility failed provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of Oregon Administrative Rules.
