Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medications. On or about March 18, 2021, AV had a surgical procedure scheduled that required AV’s medication to be put on hold for six days prior to the procedure. AV returned to the facility on March 19, 2021 and the facility resumed administration of AV’s medication, but failed to resume the aspirin. On or about March 22, 2021, AV became nauseated, started vomiting, had chest and arm pain, and was discharged to a skilled nursing facility. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
