Findings: The facility failed to provide grooming care for the Alleged Victim (AV). On or about March 30, 2021, the AV had his/her podiatrist come in to assist with cutting of AV's toe nails. AV's nails were very long and digging into AV's toes, causing unreasonable discomfort. AV's podiatrist noted that AV's nails had gross hypertrophy, which required the podiatrist to take more time that normal to debride AV's nails. The facility's failure to ensure AV's nails were taken care of properly caused unreasonable discomfort to AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
