Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) is care planned to receive assistance from staff to empty his/her catheter bag 1-2 times per shift. On May 8th and 9th, 2021, Witness 1 (W1) visited AV at 4:30 pm on both occasions. W1 found AV’s catheter bag needed to be emptying. AV’s catheter bag was full to the point of no longer accepting urine, urine was backing up into the tubing. The facility failed to follow AV’s care plan, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP21-02948 $1000.00 fine assessed
