Findings: On or about February 1, 2021, it was indicated that the Alleged Victim (AV) had a stage 2 pressure wound on his/her buttock area. In March 2021, AV was ordered wound care, and staff were to complete wound care in between home health wound care. Facility staff did not follow wound care protocols, placing AV at risk for harm. AV's wound worsened, causing unreasonable discomfort for AV. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP23-00417 $375.00 fine assessed
