Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for care. AV required repositioning every two hours throughout the day to prevent the wounds from worsening. AV regularly refused repositioning; however, the facility did not include interventions or directions to staff regarding AV’s refusals to repositioning. There was no documentation regarding AV’s wounds from January 25 through March 12, 2021. The facility failed to properly plan care around AV’s refusal to reposition, which is a neglect of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP21-02877 $1000.00 fine assessed
