Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) has a history of exit seeking and elopement. On or about April 22, 2021, the facility had an outside agency at the building to clean carpets in two resident rooms. The outside agency worker opened windows in the two rooms. Facility staff were aware that a window in one room was open, but not that a second window was open. AV appeared curious about the open window. Approximately 15 to 25 minutes later, the facility received a call form the police department informing the facility there was a confused person at a gas station about 0.3 miles from the facility. The facility failed to provide a safe environment for AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03360 $375.00 fine assessed
