Findings: On or about May 11, 2021, Alleged Victim (AV) and Witness 1 (W1) had a resident-to-resident altercation in which W1 slapped and punched AV in the face. An investigation determined that at time of incident, caregiver was assisting another resident with his/her care needs. It was determined that facility did not have adequate supervision/support for all residents. The facility's failure to provide a safe environment for AV is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03506 $563.00 fine assessed
