Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) is care planned for the facility to manage his/her medications. On or about May 13, 2021, the facility discovered that AV was missing approximately 163 pills. It was determined that some of the medications went missing during Alleged Perpetrator 2's (AP2) shift. AP2's actions are considered financial exploitation as defined which constitutes abuse. Facility failed to have proper procedures for medications count and disposal in place which is a violation of resident's rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP21-03185 $1500.00 fine assessed
