Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) is care planned to receive assistance with transferring onto and off of the toilet when needed. On or about May 17, 2021, AV activated their alert pendant requesting staff’s assistance. Staff entered AV’s room and deactivated AVs pendent. Staff requested assistance and no one was available. Staff didn’t return for about 30 to 45 minutes which by that time AV had soiled themselves. The facility failed to follow the care plan, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00407 $500.00 fine assessed
