Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) and Witness 1 (W1) had a verbal resident-to-resident altercation which led to W1 shoving AV to the ground. An investigation determined that AV's care plan states AV is to have eyes-on supervision by facility staff during waking hours. At time of incident, AV was not being supervised by staff which placed AV at a risk for potential harm. The facility failure to follow AV’s care plan is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03203 $500.00 fine assessed
