Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility to administer his/her medications. On or about June 13, 2021, AV was prescribed a muscle relaxant to be given every 8 hours. On or about June 14, 2021, AV received the morning med pass and was assured by staff the muscle relaxant was in the medication cup. AV was in pain and around noon, Witness 5 (W5) entered AV’s apartment and stated that AV did not received the muscle relaxant in the morning med pass. The facility failed to administer ordered medication, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00384 $500.00 fine assessed
