Findings: The Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for h/h care. AV is prescribed an anticoagulant medication. AV was given the wrong dose of anticoagulant medication on or about June 16, 2021, and missed a dose on or about June 17, 2021 due to the facility not having any of AV’s anticoagulant medication on site. AV was placed at a greater risk of a medical event by receiving the incorrect dose and then missing a dose of his/her medication. The facility neglected AV by failing to provide a safe medication administration system which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03331 $500.00 fine assessed
