Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. AV had approximately ten (10) or more falls in in less than ninety (90) days. AV was diagnosed with eight (8) rib fractures, multiple skin tears, abrasions and bruises, a fractured hip and fractured pelvis. The facility failed to appropriately care plan and implement reasonable interventions to address AV’s increasing and ongoing falls, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03342 $1500.00 fine assessed
