Findings: On or about June 11, 2021, the Alleged Victim (AV) stated he/she was in pain and requested to go to the hospital. It was discovered by hospital staff that AV had a decubitus ulcer on his/her buttock. AV is care planned to have brief changes and to have barrier cream applied on the ulcer twice daily or as needed. Evidence suggests that AV was left in soiled incontinence briefs on several occasions and left on the bedside commode for an unreasonable amount of time, due to short staff. The facility failed to follow the care plan, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP21-03028 $500.00 fine assessed
