Findings: On or about June 23, 2021, the Alleged Victim (AV) was given pain medication in excess of the ordered amount, and staff were to contact hospice prior to giving AV any of this medication, and staff did not contact hospice prior. Staff gave AV 1 ml of this medication rather than the .25 ml that is prescribed, placing AV at risk for harm. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-01108 $169.00 fine assessed
