Findings: According to documentation the facility failed to follow the Alleged Victim’s (AV) care plan. AV has a history of developing pressure wounds, requiring assistants every two hours to be re-positioned. On or about June 3, 2021, and on or about June 22, 2021, AV was only checked three times causing AV to sustain pressure wounds. The failure resulted in AV experiencing pain and unreasonable discomfort. The facility failed to ensure care plans were followed, which is a violation of resident’s rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP23-00747 $500.00 fine assessed
