Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. On or about June 26, 2021, AV’s facility gave AV $300.00. On or about July 2, 2021, AV looked in his/her wallet and found $200.00 was missing. AV’s family searched AV’s room and did not find the missing money and AV does not have memory concerns. AV is able to describe normal monthly expenditures for personal care. It is believed that an unknown subject, Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2), may have taken the money. AP2’s actions are considered financial exploitation, which is neglect of care and constitutes abuse. The facility failed to protect AV from financial exploitation, which is a violation of Oregon Administrative Rules.
