Findings: On or about July 10, 2021, the Alleged Victim (AV) suffered a fall. AV's fall mat was not in place at the time of the fall as care planned and there is no documentation that staff checked on AV every hour during the night. Staff did not call for an ambulance for approximately 2 hours after the fall. AV was sent to the hospital and diagnosed with a broken hip. The facility's actions placed AV in unreasonable discomfort. The facility's failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03232 $375.00 fine assessed
