Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. During the month of June 2021, the Medication Administration Records (MAR) indicated there was significant amount of missed catheter care due to ointment not being available to staff. AV had 17 of 30 medical application of catheter care that were missed due to Drug Not Available (DNA) or Other (OTH). The MAR also indicated no Nystop was given on June 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2021, during the morning shifts and on June 2, 2021, evening shift. As a result of the lack of catheter care to AV, he/she reported pain and redness to his/her perineum are. The facility failed to provide service to AV, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
