Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. Witness #1 (W1) has a history of aggressive behaviors and involvement in resident-to-resident altercations. On or about July 15, 2021 AV and W1 were involved in an altercation, W1 was noted as initiating the altercation. AV sustained a scratch on his/her hand and W1 hit his/her head on a handrail. The facility failed to properly plan care for W1 and implement reasonable interventions to address his/her aggressive behaviors towards other residents, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03385 $500.00 fine assessed
