Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) is care planned to wear full length support stockings each day and needs assistance putting them on. Supportive compression socks are not tracked on AV’s Medication Administration Record (MAR), however, AV has swelling in his/her foot and had reported pain as 7 out of 10 and said it gets worse throughout the day. There is no mention of AV refusing or requesting supportive hose and/or compression socks. AV was not wearing supportive stockings or compression socks. The facility failed to follow AV’s care plan, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00528 $500.00 fine assessed
