Findings: On or about July 28, 2021, the Alleged Victim (AV) wandered into Witness #1's (W1) room and was taking W1's candy. W1 yelled at AV and hit AV in the head with an alarm clock. AV received discoloration on his/her head due to this altercation. AV is a known wander and was to be redirected by staff from entering other residents rooms. The facility failed to provide a safe environment, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03079 $250.00 fine assessed
