Findings: On or about July 28, 2021, Alleged Perpetrator #2 (AP2) borrowed money from the Alleged Victim (AV). Caregivers are not to take money from residents, whether it is a gift or a loan. The facility's training documentation is not clear to staff whether accepting any type of money or gifts from residents is against the rules. AP2's actions are a violation of residents rights, are considered neglect of care and constitutes financial abuse. The facility failed to protect AV from financial abuse, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes financial abuse.
