Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. It was discovered that AV had not eaten for several meals after returning to the facility due to a medical condition. The facility had received education on the changes to AV’s status. AV was care planned to be independent in meals, however, AV’s new care plan did not change despite new care plan recommendations. The facility failed to properly plan care, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00591 $500.00 fine assessed
