Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for h/h care. AV was prescribed an antibiotic for ten (10) days. A medication audit revealed AV did not receive the full course of h/h antibiotics. AV was not administered five (5) antibiotic tablets. The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure AV antibiotics were administered as ordered which, is a violation of resident rights is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP22-00469 $250.00 fine assessed
