Findings: The facility failed to appropriately assess Alleged Victim (AV) for pain and intervene after his/her change of condition. AV was found yelling out in pain every time AV's arm was touched or moved. AV was in pain for two weeks and the facility did not reach out to AV's doctor to request pain medication for AV until August 13, 2021. The failure is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: RCFCP21-03464 $1500.00 fine assessed
