- The facility failed to provide a safe medication administration system to ensure AV’s medication was administered as ordered and documented if pain medication was not effective. The failure resulted in AV experiencing repeated unreasonable discomfort, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
