Findings: Alleged Victim (AV) relies on the facility for his/her care. On or about October 21, 2021, AV, and Witness 1 (W1), were involved in a resident-to-resident verbal altercation. W1 has been observed yelling at AV regarding AV’s dog. On or about August 30, 2021, AV’s dog peed on the floor and when W1 found out about it, he/she barged into AV’s room and started yelling at AV. AV felt he/she was being harassed, verbally attacked, and bullied by W1. The facility failed to protect AV from verbal abuse, which is a violation of resident rights, is neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00387 $250.00 fine assessed
