Findings: On or about December 16, 2021, the Alleged Victim (AV) returned from the hospital after a fracture and was prescribed pain medication by the Emergency Room. AV kept the medication in his/her room and was not taking the medication as prescribed. The facility took the medication from AV and did not provide any pain medication to AV for 2 days while waiting for the prescription information from the Physician. AV was in pain from not receiving the medication for two days. The facility's failure of not giving AV medication as ordered is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
Sanction: ALFCP22-00344 $250.00 fine assessed
