Findings: The facility discovered the Alleged Perpetrator 2 (AP2) was administering an excessive amount of PRN Narcotic Medications to Alleged Victim (AV). Based on an investigation, it was determined that (AP2) took AV’s medication, resulting in AV having pain and preventing h/h from getting up. AP2’s actions and failure to provide a safe medication administration system are a violation of resident rights, are considered neglect of care and constitute abuse. AP1 failed to ensure adequate supervision, training, and oversight of the medication administration system, which is a violation of resident rights, is considered neglect of care and constitutes abuse.
